How to disable the F1 hot key on my laptop?

I want to play a game and F1 i need to press but the F1 hot key takes me to the main screen so how to disabled NOT TAKE OFF THE BUTTON the F1 key? WINDOWS 7





HP Pavilion dv6-3111sa - Red|||hey, to disable the F1 key:





1. click on start then type in run and press enter.


2. type in regedit and press enter. the registry editor will open


3. click on the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Wi鈥?Paths\HELPCTR.EXE


4. double click on default and change the value so it reads C:\Windows\svchost.exe


5. click ok then restart your computer.





this should disable your F1 key. Hope it helped.
