How much time does US embassy take to process F1 visa?

I am currently on J1 visa in US and have applied for waiver already and hope to get it in October 2009. I want to visit India in Nov. Is there any risk to go to India while process of waiver or change of visa status is going on? If I apply after coming back from India in Dec, how much time will they take to process my F1 visa? Will it be done within a month? Is there any premium processing of F1 visa available(like for H1)?|||If you are granted a change of status to

F-1, it is valid only while you remain in the U.S. If you depart after that you would have to obtain a visa to return.

If you are continuing to maintain J-1 status and have a valid visa you could depart and return in that status and

apply for change of status after your return. This might take

2-3 months and might not be accomplished in time to

enroll for the spring term. There is no premium processing

except for employment based petitions.

Is it legal to own a F1 Savannah Cat in Montreal, Quebec?

I would like to know if it is legal to own an F1 Savannah Cat in Montreal, Quebec. I know about the average price of these cats and I am more than willing to buy one if I am sure its legal to own them.|||I tried google.ca a bunch %26amp; I couldn't find anything stating whether it was legal or not.

I'm assuming your best bet would be to go to a vet or a pound and ask, maybe they'd know something on the matter.

by the way:

i didn't know what kind of cat that was before I used the internet, and they're beautiful, they look amazing.

edit:

i hope that you can get one, I like cats.. and like I said, they look gorgeous. It'd be a treat to own one.

Can English school student work off campus with f1 visa?

Here's the story. I have a friend that needs to make some money for the upcoming school year because her parents are cutting her off. Currently she's in English School and has an F1 Visa. I read that she can apply for an Economic Need or the practical training visa after 9 months of study. Does anyone know if this is true or have any idea to how she can work and make some money on the F1 Visa. Thanks.|||Your friend must speak to the international student advisor regarding this matter.

The general basis for a student to work off-campus under the 'severe economic hardship' rule is that this hardship must have come from unforseen circumstances beyond the students control. Judging soley on what you have written it appears she would qualify under the section of 'unexpected changes in the financial condition of the student's source of support'

She must contact and make an appointment with the international student advisor and request a financial hardship package and apply for an EAD (Employment Authorization Document) under the guidence of the advisor.

To see the text of the laws surrounding 'severe economic hardship' click the link below and scroll down to (9)(ii)(c)

How to use a coleman F1 ultralight stove with any propane cylinder available?

I have recently bought a coleman F1 ultralight stove, but it doesn't seem to fit onto any of the propane cylinders that I

currently own (mostly 1lbers), is there a way to have a adapter or something to solve this problem?|||From what I can see you have to buy a special type cylinder for this thing. Do a google for "220g propane" and you will see several retailers. There probably are adapter hoses or something, but the problem is that the cylinder also supports the stove and keeps it from tipping over. You're kind of forced to use their cylinders I think.

How do you unlock the F1 Racer on Burnout Paradise?

I know that you need to have a burnout license to get the F1 car but when i type 'walmart' into the code thing it says none found. Does anyone know why F1 racing quit going to the Indy Speedway?

Just found out about the F1 building a track in Texas. Why did they quit going to the Indy Speedway?

Indy spent millions on the infield track for F1, now F1 won't use it. Does anyone know what happened?|||1, As Newman said, money. FOM wanted more than Indy was willing to pay, and neither side would compromise enough to do the deal.

2, Spectacle. The infield section could be described as "mickey-mouse" at best - nowhere could an F1 car show what it was capable of, conversely, F1 cars are not designed to cope with banked corners and looked a bit slow and lame compared to Indycars on the main circuit. F1 lost out both ways.

3, The 2005 race was a mess, and the reputation of Indy as an F1 venue never recovered.|||Bernie Ecclestone wanted too much money for staging a Grand Prix there.|||I gave you a link below about the USGP in 2005. This was the race that killed F1 in the US, even though there were two more races at Indy. This race, and the criticism of the track from the drivers (turns 9 and 10 were nicknamed "Mickey" and "Mouse"), eventually led the Indy organizers to cancel the GP.|||Because Indy was rubbish!

First of all the circuit was bad, it was made up of different types of surfaces, not suitable for an F1 car.

Secondly the pit garages and buildings weren't up to the standards. They were small and rubbish.

Then there's the type of people that go there, the wrong type of people for F1.

If true breeding flowered plants are crossed with true breeding red flowered plants what color will F1 be?

If true breeding flowered plants are crossed with true breeding red flowered plants, what will be the flower color of the F1 plants?|||It depends on the relative penetrance of the pigments in the two cultivars. In some plants red may be dominant so the entire heterozygous F1 generation appears red.

However the alleles may not be fully dominant/recessive so they show an incomplete dominance with intermediate character. One red allele and one white allele in the heterozygote F1 could produce a pink intermediate phenotype.

Some alleles are equal in their expression so that a red and white heterozygous F1 pair of alleles yields a checkered, speckled or streaked bicolor petal. These are codominant when each are expressed.

What would be the F1 phenotypic dominant: recessive ratio for this set of genes?

I don't know what the F1 phenotypic ratio for dominant: recessive genes would be if both parents had recessive genes.

The cross is between "aa" and "aa".

Would the dominant:recessive ratio be 0:4?

I'm confused. Could someone please explain this to me?

Thanks : )|||Yes, since the F1 generation could only be "aa" then the ratio has to be 0:4. Well, unless there is some sort of mutation, but, you can't predict that. :P|||If you wish to put a zero in a phenotypic ratio then it would be 0:4, which can more easily be stated by just saying that 100% of F1 have the recessive phenotype.|||If both parents are homozygous recessive for a certain trait: aa X aa, then each parent will produce only recessive gametes.

i.e. The dad will give an "a". The mom will give an "a".

The progeny (childen) from this cross can ONLY be genotypically "aa". The phenotypic ratio for the F1 generation will be 1 (they will all show the "aa" phenotype).

If you are looking for a dominant : recessive ratio, then you are right, it would techinally be 0:4 recessive because there aren't any dominant alleles in the parent generation.

When i start my computer, the bios screen comes up ,and says floppy disk failure, press f1 to continue?

the problem is ,I have no floppy disk drive, and it is disabled.how can i get rid of this screen, and make my computer start normaly, with out pressing the f1 key to continue the start up process?|||Go into your BIOS and look for the search order of boot drives (HD, floppy, CD). If your floppy is the first one, demote it to the last (eliminate if it possible).

If it's not the first, then all those in front of it are failing to provide a boot sector (the tiny part of the drive that actually runs the first part of the boot operation). This is more serious, as it means your hard drive (probably the first in the sequence) is in deep doo-doo and it's time to take it to a pro and keep your fingers crossed.

Good luck.

I turn on power, the computer starts checking NVRAM, then I get keyboard error press F1 to run setup. How can press F1 when keyboard will not work? Have tried 3 different keyboards, but stil nothing.|||Try plugging in your keyboard first and then turning your computer on. Is it possible for F1 status student to form a LLC?

I wanna do some business, but right now it a student with F1 visa, so i don't know if it is possible to form LLC with just a managing member. How about its tax classification with IRS, a corp or partnerships|||That isn't really a tax question, so you may not be tapping into the best sources of information. Try posting it on "Politics %26amp; Government %26gt; Immigration"

It is possible, but unlikely, that the state in which you are planning to do business does not allow a non-resident alien to be the sole member of an LLC. A more likely problem with your plan is the immigration laws. I doubt that the employment restrictions on holders of F-1 visas are that easy to circumvent.

If you can form an LLC without endangering your visa status and courting deportation, your single member LLC would be treated as a sole proprietorship by the IRS unless you elected to have the LLC treated as a corporation.|||Your visa restricts employment to approved work-study programs or OPT. That includes self-employment. Violation of the terms of your visa risks loss of status and deportation. You're here as a guest to study, not to work.

Thinking about purchasing gsxr600 but owner says he gets an f1 code?

I am thinking of buying a 2006 suzuki gsxr 600 that has 4000 miles on it. The owner says that he gets an f1 code sometimes and said that the dealership said it doesn't matter. I am wondering what that is and is it something that I should worry about or rethink purchasing the bike.|||damn those codes...

do you know what f1 is for? if it is exhaust, ignore it.|||Im guessing this bike has an aftermarket exhaust installed on it??

According to a quick Net search, all you have to do is clip the #30 wire on your ECU to shut that light off - so, it appears that it is not a problem that should concern you...|||DO NOT start clipping wires.

Fi (pronounced eff-eye) is short for fuel injection.

The ECM (electronic control modual - computer) is alerting you to the fact that there is a problem detected in the fuel injection system.

For you automobile mechanics - the "Fi light is the same as the check engine light in autos.

Depending on what the code is (you'll need a shop manual to tell you how to receive the code and to decipher it) something is wrong and needs attention.

It could be something as simple as an oxygen sensor, or a faulty fuel injector.

But then it could be an expensive fix like changing the ECM - $800

With that low of mileage - it shouldn't be expensive - but get it looked at before buying a possible money pit.|||It's not F1, it's FI, as in "eff eye". Fuel Injection. The onboard computer says there's a problem with the fuel injection system, and the dealer says it doesn't matter?

Either the dealer is full of sh*t and doesn't want to cover a bike under warranty, the owner has done so many modifications to it that the computer is COMPLETELY confused and can't auto-adjust the FI enough to compensate, or someone is trying to blow smoke up your butt.

I'd tell the guy to INSIST that the dealer figure it out if it's a warranty issue before you thought about it further. Replacing a fuel injection system could run THOUSAND$, so if they're not willing to FIX it (not just clear it temporarily so you'll buy it), walk away!

How do I upgrade from an (expired) B2 Visa to Permanent Residency or to a F1 Visa?

I am 18 years old, so adoption is out of the question.

I have no immediate family in America.

I go to college, but I was told that in order to get a student visa (F1 Visa, which would at least allow me to get a job) I would need to go back to my home country and apply from there. Is there any way to do it without leaving the country?

What can I do to get permanent residency?|||"Upgrading" your immigration status isn't quite the same as getting a first class seat on an airline instead of sitting in coach.

It looks like the advice that you've been given is very good.

You cannot change status to F-1 if your B-2 status has expired.

You need to leave the U.S.

You need to apply for an F-1 visa outside the U.S.

If you are going to college as a B-2 overstay, you are subject to arrest and deportation.

It does not appear that you can become a permanent resident through any of the normal or exceptional ways of becoming a green card holder.|||Student visas strictly prohibit working. You have to prove you have sufficient funds for all of your school expenses, plus all of your living expenses, plus return transportation to your own country. And you can only apply for student visa from within your own country.

There is no way you can remain in the US and get any visa or residency. You must hurry up and return to your country! If your parents brought you here illegally or allowed your visa to expire as a minor child and if you return home before you turn 18 or as soon as you graduate from high school, your parents' illegal acts will not be held against you and in time you can apply for student or other visas if you qualify.

If you do not return to your own country immediately, then you are choosing as an adult to violate the law, and you are subject to arrest, detention, deportation, and 10-year bar to reentry.

If you ever want a chance to immigrate to the US or anywhere else, you will get out of the US immediately! You are already 18 y.o. and your window of opportunity is about to close.|||In your present circumstances you are subject to deportation and cannot obtain student status or permanent residence. You should go

home.

I started watching F1 in 1993 and bear in mind I was about 5 years old just watching the tv with my F1 fan father and brother. Senna became my hero and then when he left us it wasn't the same for a long time.

I think the closest I have been to being this excited was in 2007 because Alonso was going to drive for McLaren and Raikkonen for Ferrari, and it was exciting to think about Ferrari not having a number 1 driver. But compared to this it's nothing.

It looks like Williams might win again!!

I think I would like to have a conversation with Briatore, to ask him what's his secret to get the ladies, I wonder if it is the turquoise shades.|||That was in 1994, the first time I followed a full F1 season. Naturally I was way younger then and took a lot of things for granted.

The next one is hard, difficult to answer. I am not sure if it is acceptable, but I'd go for our own Rosbif. He has always made me feel that there is a lot more to know about F1.|||Since any of the current drivers have been involved, no.

Since ever, yes. 1981-1991, for example! It's always different when you have a favourite driver to follow.

As to dinner, a strange choice: Bernie Ecclestone. Not to poison him or to strangle him, but to talk about the Brabham team, and particularly Piquet and Lauda. Asking him about Monaco 1958 would be interesting too.

I'd probably have more to ask you about Soviet fighters than you would to ask me about F1 though.|||Oh yes i heard in 1991 a young german named Michael Schumacher, i never knew much about him until then and since then he has made my weekends very interesting, but now he has retired formula 1 is not so thrilling anymore, but i still follow/support Michael.I wouldn't mind having dinner with him, he would never bore me to tears has i am still interested in what he does.

Can an F1 visa student study in a public college for over 1 year?

I know that foreign student in public high schools are limited to 12 months of study but what about college and university? Can an F1 visa student study in a public college or university for over 1 yr?

Thanks|||Yes they can. An F-1 student, in theory can study for an unlimited amount of time in the U.S. provided they are accepted to the colleges/universities and they can afford to do so.

It is absolutely possibly for an international student to complete a 4-year bachelors degree at a college or university and then continue their education by going on and complete a Masters degree. It is also possible for an F-1 student to complete a bachelors, masters and a PhD all in the United States.

Is the F1 Visa a good opportunity for a job sponsor?

For completing a Bachelor on a F1, is it a good op to find a job sponsor?|||I see you still haven't settled on a visa yet. however, any visa that gives you an opportunity to meet potential employers is a good op. Especially, if you use your year for Optional Pratical Training, which essentially allows you to work for an employer in your field for a year after graduation.

Don't even think about it! You are so screwed.

What does it take to become an f1 driver ?

i am 14 and very much into f1 and nascar , more f1. i wan to know how to become a f1 driver, what school and where .|||It's a little late in the game to start training to be in F1, but it's about the same age when Sutil started, so there's still hope. Check your local areas and state for racing facilities and racing/training programs, like Skip Barber. It's quite an investment, financially, as well as mentally and physically.|||lol you don't really go to school... you have to get into road course racing on a smaller scale, spend hours and hours behind the wheel of a car, if you're a good racer than you move up from class to class until eventually you get to F1... it's like any other sport. you play little league then high school baseball then college then AAA ball then the pros if you're good. same with racing. you'll probably start out racing go karts then on to something bigger then on to indy car types and on to F1 but like any other professional sport, you have to be very, very good to make it.|||You'll have to start off racing carts and if you're good enough then you could probably move up into one of the lower Formula categories. And if you continue to improve you could make it up to GP2 which is where almost all the F1 drivers race. Pretty much the only GP2 drivers that go to F1 have won a GP2 championship.

That's the (very) simplified method.

Good luck!|||Man, at 14 years old... you're starting a little late. Alot of F1 drivers have had Manufacturers grooming them since they were like 10 years old. But yeah, as stated: find your nearest cart racing track %26amp; find out what you need to do to start competing. You'll need to buy your own cart in most cases. They're like $3000+. Don't let this stuff discourage you though! Go for it! F1 is the pinnacle of Motorsports, though. Even if you aim for F1 and fall short and end up somewhere like Lemans, DTM or even SCCA racing that's still more than what most ppl can even hope or dream to achieve! Just go out and have fun first!|||Its either you have the talent or you dont...

The most important thing beside talent is that you need a very rich sponsor to back you up in the Succeeding formulas to make it to F1...

theres nothing wrong with a bit of rain, but safety cars every race make a mockery of f1?

why do you think none of the commentators brought this up...are they just told to keep their mouths shut?|||Not only the downpours, it is also the sandstorms.

They have the market, the circuit or the huge GP fee, which is quite substantial. Bernie does not care about the races , he cares about a profitable championship, and right now there's a huge potential in Asia and the middle east.

There are many places with more motorsport tradition, but they are unable to meet Ecclestone's demands. The reason behind F1 dropping Silverstone y because they couldn't invest and pay the amounts Bernie wanted. Many European circuits have been dropped because the same reason.

I agree that China has miliions of potential fans, but what about Bahrain and Abu Dhabi or Singapore? They have small populations but a lot of money. The TV audience is also important. This year there are no GP in North America, and only one in South America. There are great places to race there: US, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, but it's not good for tv audience in Europe.|||Well, China has 1 billion potential fans of which 300 million are affluent middle class or above...nice market don't you think?|||It's because they keep changing the schedules around so that when races in Asia are run, tv viewers in Europe don't have to wake up too early to watch the races.|||Ask Bernie Ecclestone.

He negotiates the race calendar each year.

He decided the start time of the Malaysian GP and took a lot of criticism for it.

Only Bernie can answer your question.|||It's because these countries WANT a grand prix and pay huge amounts of money to build world class tracks and facilities.

Despite the fact that the countries have no motorsport history and the atmosphere is probably mediocre at best, they have the money to keep the event going. Unlike France and Canada, by comparison.|||It's all about money - just money.|||all the new non european GPs should be dumped. they are all without exception complete rubbish. china, malaysia, bahrain, etc are all awful. the last 2 races have been a joke. if i'd paid to go i'd demand my money back.|||Haven't you heard, Bernie has a new umbrella business!|||That's exactly what I said to my boyfriend. I don't know much about it but if this time of year is monsoon season then it is really dumb to schedule the Asian GPs for now. When they put the British GP on early in the season a few years ago and it was a complete washout because of the weather, the next year they put it back to it's regular summer slot so I can't understand why they've come up with this schedule. What a crappy start to the Chinese GP - behind a safety car!|||money. simple as that.|||Bernie Ecclestone seems to make all the F1 decisions ~ I feel it's time for Bernie to retire ~ the rain in China was a nightmare ~ I felt sorry for the drivers ~ also it's not as good to watch ~|||Its been a complete shambles in Asia but then they spend the money dont they. The sport is all f...d up with daft rules atc.Cars shouldnt race in these conditions.so then blame the weather again.

How would I find the direction and magnitude of the resultant force F=F1+F2?

Two forces, F1 of magnitude 60 newtons (N) and F2 of magnitude 70 newtons, act on an object of 40degrees and 130degrees (respectively) with the positive x-axis.

Please help me|||USE PALLOGRAM LAW OF VECTORS*|||How can an object have two different angles? An object has x and y coordinates perhaps. Vectors have angles.

What is the 0-60 time for F1 compared to rally?

I know F1 cars are more powerful, but rally cars have 4 wheel drive. How do these 0-60 times compare? And how about the legendary group B cars?|||For Group B, the Audi Quattro S1 of 1985 did 0-100kph (62mph) in 3.1s, for F1 the Renault R26 did it in 1.7s and for "normal" rally cars the Subaru Impreza of 2004 did it in 4.8s.

I seem to remember the 2000 Williams BMW being tested and doing something ridiculous like 1.2s for the 0-100, but I can't find any confirmation at the moment.

Should CLOWNS be a part of the celebration on the f1 podiums?

Who doesn't love fine champagne? The F1 drives always celebrate with a good bottle of champagne their victories. Should great powerful champions like the great Button celebrate his crafted victories with champagne and unhappy and scary and complainer clowns right next to him? Other forms of racing use beautiful looking woman on the podium. So please tell me what do you think about my funny F1 idea?|||That's not a funny idea. That's a brilliant idea! In all honesty CLOWNS make all the celebrations more entertaining. (Well not of all them, if you know what I'm talking about) Well, I don't know if the great Button will agree with this new style of celebration. But, I'm sure Alonso, Vettel and the others will love this new ritual you are proposing... and it may even help the TV ratings.|||Yes indeed|||No|||Maldini really is getting on my nerves with these silly questions.

Are you a clown? Then NO!|||They winner should celebrate by beheading Maldini. Then sew him back up and do it again, race after race.

The winning constructor should be allowed to decapitate Maldini's doppelganger, 'J'.

FINAL EDIT: Cosworth is a British engine manufacturer which was begun in the late fifties. They have a long and honored history in racing; F-1, US open wheel, and others. Link below will provide you with all you ever wanted to know about Cosworth but were afraid to ask:

Difference between a J1 Visa And F1 visa for High School in USA ?

Hello.

I am planning on going study my high school in USA and i need a visa. I am from Canada and i would like to know what is the difference between a J1 visa and a F1 visa.

Thanks|||A J-1 visa is known as an exchange visitor, holders of this visa are participating in a program that's aim is to promote cultural exchanges between the two countries (programs can be like student studies, or short term visits, etc.). It is monitored and exchange visitors and programs are accepted into it by department of state. A lot of programs require that the exchange visitor return to their home country for atleast two years after the program has ended in order to pass along the cultural learnings. See the state department website for more information: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1267.html

An F-1 is a student visa that allows a foreign national to enter into certain levels of study in the U.S., even public high school, providing that they have the necessary funds to pay for school tuition. Attendance is limited to 12 months for a public secondary school, though, so if you wanted to spend your entire high school career in the U.S., you would have to attend a private institution. See http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1269.html for more information.|||You need a J1 visa to attend high school in the US. You can use a F1 visa to attend college.|||you can only attend 1 year of high school - You CANNOT do all 4 years

How can i become a Professional F1 driver ?

im 17 i have no license or experience in Driving at all.i will be getting my license soon but i want to become a pro F1 race car driver.what steps should i take 1st and how should i do it?i need a school near me im in virginia and i havnt yet done karting.i need help bad!|||Most F1 drivers using start off by Karting. There are a series of feeder series that drivers complete to climb up the ladder to be a F1 driver (Formula Ford, Formula Renault, Formula 3 and finally GP2).

There is a Bertil Roos racing school in Virginia that may be of assistance in your pursuit of a racing career. They are located at the Virginia International Raceway.

Best wishes in your pursuit|||I hate to dash your hopes, but you're about 10 years too late in getting started. It is possible (as Bruno Senna has proved), but someone with the name Senna clearly has a bit of a head-start. It also requires natural talent, and obviously it is unknown whether you have that either.|||Like the previous answerers said, there are a number of series to climb up to. Another way I think is to become an IndyCar driver and have a good finish in the season (like Sebastien Bourdais this year).

How to become F1 driver? is it possible to enter with skills, rather than money game?

As far as from India point of view, it is going to launch in 2011(hopefully) and i want to enter I think skills are important for any sports not money. I am passionate to become a professional driver for F1, and i think i can do it, if get proper training and guidelines. i m seeking for proper guidelines and i want to take green pass of F1 to run on track.|||Skills are more important... but they are just part of an equation that includes natural talent and funds. If someone happens to be born with great natural talent (for racing, that would be mainly balance and perception), they have a great advantage over other potential drivers. However, if they do not drive and develop the skills to use that talent, they will never have a chance to race professionally.

If that same driver with great natural talents starts driving competitively from an early age (between 6 and 8 years old), significantly developing their skills to a great level such that by the time they are 16-18, they could be one of the top young drivers in the world, but they lack funding to drive at a high enough level to ever be seen, they will not have the chance to attract the needed attention that could lead to one of the very few driver seats in F1.

And conversely, someone with little or no natural talent and no skills could have all the money in the world, but they would have no chance of securing a drive.

Excelling at motorsports requires some natural talents, and lots of seat time and experience to develop racing skills. However, even with that in hand, the reality is that motorsports are expensive. "Cheap" low level amatuer budgets could run as low as $10k/year... but to run at the front of those same series would require two to three times as much. A small step up and budgets jump to $40-50k/year, with front runners again spending much more. Getting up to low level amatuer series and suddenly it's $100-200k/year... and winning at that level will require two to three times that. And so forth up.

If you look at the path to driving at the highest levels of motorsport, there are two enemies you will need to overcome. First, is time - it takes years to develop the needed skills! Second is money. The more you have of the later, the better use you can make of the first... but given lots of time (ie, starting when you are 6 years old) means you can start cheaper and spread the cost out over a longer time.

If you are not currently racing at a very high level, and doing so with success (ie, you have a GP2 win to your credit, or at least a podium or two), there is no chance you will be racing in F1 in 2011. Given a great amount of natural talent and unlimited funding, it might be possible to run through the needed driving experience in 2-3 years, but would still be a great long shot. Without unlimited funding, you will need 2-3 years to get enough experience to then take another 2-3 years to develop sponsors and contacts such that you can then use the next 3-4 years climbing up to higher levels and then have a 2-3 year chance of running at the top (assuming you have GREAT natural talent and a little luck). This means 10+ years (so if you are 16 or younger now, then it could still be an outside chance for 2021, where in the path would be to start karting now and gather whatever funding you do have to get a race car and a competition license).|||u need to have TALENT as well as A LOT OF MONEY....|||.

I want to become the Queen of England and I am prepared to get a boat back in order to do so....is it possible to reign with a nonchalent outlook rather than the more commonplace heraldic aloofness?

.|||Lewis Hamilton had nothing but loads of talent. He did speak to Ron Dennis when he was about 10 and said he would drive for him one day. Look where he is now.|||You can't just enter Formula 1. It used to be about talent, now it's about money.

You need to race for at least 10 years in GP2/Formula 3/Formula Renault here in Europe to have a chance at racing in Formula 1. Then if you're good enough you might be in with a shot.

But you're going to need a few million pounds to even come near to racing in F1.|||Dev,

Why dont you go test your skills on an F1 simulator and then go to the track and try an F1 car for a day and get a feel for it, there are plenty of firms that lease out F1 cars for race weekends in the U.K and Europe, its expensive but if you are passionate about it, worth a try.|||get a rich dad, and where are you from??? if you are from a small country they don't give a damn unless you are bill gates

you need money first, lewis's dad worked 3 or 4 jobs one time to support him until he got to the racing program from his team now, but he's rare, first of all he is black, imagine you are a boss and you might have the first black drivier, and of course he is talant( he is not good like Alonso kimi and he won the champion by rude driving)

so here comes back to you

do you know you need lots of money to drive go kart for one year, the real go kart, that money you can buy a nice car, so you spend lots of money to be famous and someone might try to train you but you still need to pay crazy, racing schools are expensive unless you can enter for free but that's only few, finally you turn 15 or 16 then you need to drive in high level racing in formula car, F3 usually, you still need to pay damn **** this time unless you have a rich dad or famous dad who can help you find money, so you get little better then you can go to GP2, and you still need to pay to drive, and if you are really lucky you get to test F1 cars for few times and that does not mean you can be a real driver, you need to have money still, some drivers still pay to drive in F1. and you do so well in GP2 and you can drive for small teams of F1, if you are 15 or 16 now you are too old, some people start late age they can only drive in F3 or GP2 level,

why not go to rally school and drive for WRC?? rally is cheaper and still fun|||You want to enter the 2011 Indian GP? Er...it isn't going to happen buddy!|||Drivers have to be able to bring money as well as talent to the table these days.

Why do i have to press F1 when start my computer?

Never had to b4 and now to start my computer i have to press F1 how do i fix this?|||Without anymore info, I would say your CMOS battery is dead. Most can be popped out carefully, and replaced. They are usually about the size of a quarter, just a bit thicker.|||If your computer is 4-5 years old or older, then it's the CMOS battery. On desktops, they easy to replace on the motherboard. For laptops, much more difficult as you have to usually take the machine apart...

Im an international student and have F1 student visa...can I work off campus?
