I want to study in the US. I don't have parents anymore. I will pay for my education there while working. How do I get an F1 visa even without any relatives in the US to sponsor me? Thanks!|||You cannot work on a student visa except part time on campus. That will certainly not pay for your tuition and living expenses.
If you do not have the funds to pay for the very expensive international student tuition, you will not get a visa.|||There is no such thing as "sponsorhip" for an education. And foreign student visa holders are strictly prohibited from working. Student visas are temporary, non-immigration class of visas, and you must prove you (and/or your parents) have sufficient funds to provide for all of your school expenses, plus all of your living expenses, plus your return transportation to your country of citizenship.
For those few foreign students who receive financial aid from their school, the type(s), terms and amounts of financial aid awarded will be recorded by the school for the immigration authorities. There is a financial aid program called "work-study" in which the student is allowed to work on-campus for up to 20 hours per week up to the maximum dollar amount of the work-study portion of the financial aid package. The money involved would be enough to cover groceries, maybe utilities or some such, but is really never enough to cover dorm room %26amp; board charges or else an apartment, utilities, groceries %26amp; transportation to campus. Work-study is financial aid, not a regular job!
You must have money to get a student visa. You cannot work. Even American citizens cannot earn enough working full-time to pay for all their college expenses. US colleges are among the world's most expensive. For American citizens, average cost is over $250,000 for 4-year degree. It's more for foreign students. No money = no visa. And if you got in okay, then ran out of money, you must return to your own country immediately. Number One cause of foreign student failure is inadequate English language skills. Number Two is inadequate funds.
Without parents, family, etc, ties to your own country to help insure you will return to your own country, you could be disqualified from obtaining a visa on those grounds.|||In the United States, the F visas are a type of non-immigrant student visa that allows foreigners to pursue education (academic studies and/or language training programs) in the United States. F-1 visas are only issued in U.S. embassies and consulates outside the United States. Prospective F-1 students must apply at the schools and receive a form I-20 in order to apply for an F-1 visa. F-1 students must show that they are able to support themselves during their stay in the U.S., as their opportunities for legal employment are quite limited.
you can only work on campus a few hours a week
you would need $50K to get started|||There's no such program that allows you to work in order to pay for your education. If you can't prove you have the money to support your education the visa won't be approved.|||You can not work while on an F1 visa. You need to have enough money to pay for your education BEFORE you get the visa.
