I have only started watching F1 recently. Can you tell me how many laps in a normal F1 race.|||56 laps. It will be very humid and it is very likely to rain heavily.|||56 laps for the Malaysian GP.
Different races though will have different lap totals.
Also another thing to keep in mind, not necessarly for today, but for other races, if a race lasts for a certain amount of time (usually due to wet conditions), a race can only last no more than 2 hours (You will sometimes see this in Monaco, where the lap times are slow, and if you get rain, it only gets worse).
Edit: If they do continue, there is a possiblity of hitting the 2 hour mark. If so, the race will end at that time, regardless of if it hits 56 laps or not|||all the tracks have to cover a certain distance, and if one track has been built longer than another it will have shorter laps then a short track that will have more laps.
e.g street circuits would have more laps then a circuit than has been built properly like SilverStone.|||85035803038552809528 laps|||It depends on the track distance. if you go to the website http://www.formula1.com then up the top it has each country in which a race will be held it will give you a track layout and details including how many laps.
The malaysian GP was stopped due to rain and only 31 of the 56 laps was completed and because it was less than 75% of the race completed then half points are awarded.
Hope that helps. Welcome to the F1 family.
