I am trying to apply for an F1 visa from TD because I want to go to school here in states. My husband holds a TN visa. What kind of files do we need? Proof of residency? Something from my husband's company? I know it's rare, but this is what we're doing right now.|||If you are already in US, you cannot apply Visa. Visa is only issued at US Embassy or Consulate outside of US. Inside of US, you can only change your status.
Once you are accepted to school with I-20, you need to file I-539 Change of Non immigrant Status from TD to F1 status.
