What does f1 mean when flashing on my clocks on my suzuki gsxr?

i not long brought a suzuki gsxr 1000 k4. i have not yet rode this bike but when i start it up f1 flashes in corner of clocks and so does a red warning light. is this a big problem? and could i fix it my self?|||That light should only flash on when you first turn the key. However if you have the on/off switch in the off position the light will stay on. It has to do with the fuel injection and some bikes the light maybe on permanent due to a computer error common on Suzuki's.|||go to gsxr.com fiis fault indicator like check engine.
