Im trying to find out what is the general consensus out there for f1's greatest car ever. The car can be based on speed, design aerodynamics, any of these things technical genius. This should get the history buffs out. Well here is my choice. The Williams that Nigel Mansell won the championship in 1992 with. Also The Mclaren mp420 that kimi raikonen just missed the title with in 2005.|||Well, Nigel Mansell's Williams was a great car. However, in my opinion, the greatest ever car was the McLaren-Marlboro-Honda MP4/4 of Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna (1988). This car was very advanced for its time, both in design and in aerodynamics. It's technology was so ahead of its time that in the end, McLaren achieved 15 poles and 15 wins out of the 16 available. So far, no team has been able to win so many races and poles in a season, not even the Ferrari of 2002.|||The McLaren MP4/4 in 1988 won 15/16 races that year. Need I say more?
Yes, the sole expection being the Italian GP, with Jean-Louis Schlesser not letting Senna through, therefore making contact within each other, knocking each other out. Still, the car was very superb.|||i think in terms of the reliability (i think thats how u spell it?) it must be the old mercedes silver arrow very reliable and looked one of a kind|||Kimi Raikkonen's car which won the championship in 2007.|||1998 Prost GP driven by Oliver Panis, without a doubt! ;)
