I've always had a passion for racing, and it's always come easy to me out on the track. My first time racing pro-rated go-karts, I qualified for racing professionally with ease and had better lap times than most of the local pros. I've never competed professionally, but I've always wanted to do F1 or one of it's variants. I'm not looking to make a lot of money, just a steady career supporting myself doing what I'm good at and enjoy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.|||If you're in the US, then tough luck getting picked-up. "Qualifying" for professional racing is different from actually being in professional racing itself. Today's pro drivers have been racing since they were kids, in race karts. As they grew up they progressed through the different junior Formula series.
How old are you? If you're in your teens and you haven't been racing yet, then you're already behind the power curve. Before you even get into F1, there's all of F2, F3000, Formula Toyota and whatever open-wheel series is out there. And most of them aren't in the US.
Now, enjoy this little clip showing how my favorite driver made his way up the chain.

Start small: get a company (big or small) to sponsor u .... unless ur rich, u would def need a sponsor for all the expensees. But i would advise u to drive pro status b4 u can get any sponsors period. Win local races, be on newspages or something and im sure the big leaguers (F1) will come to u. I dunno wut ur age is but if ur still young, go buy logitech driving wheel and buy gran turismo or something and practice there first lol
