What does it mean by F1 car racing and what are its specialities ?

Often we see in the sports page about F1 racing. It is not clear about the formula one, if it is some formula then are there any other formula? Please clarify.|||earllier, there were no formiulas as such. the governing body of the race was calle GARD PRIX MOTOR RACING till about 1920. then anyone could build high perfomance cars according to some setof rules and race in the track





later after ww2, the rules for manufacture of rece car was defined well and these set of rules was called the formula





formula 1 can be called the set of rules that give the most speed, performance and most importantly, safety


there are many other formulas such as formula 3, etc...
