When should a F1 Student marry a derivative asylee?After she apply for green card or before?

I m a F1 student and my girl friend is a derivative asylee to her mom.She is going to apply for green card soon so i wonder when should i get married to her?|||that would depend on what your main motivation is. however, either way, it won't benefit you any time soon from an immigration point of view.|||In order to receive a K1 (fiance(e) visa) or a K3 (spouse visa) visa, it must be to a US citizen, along with other requirements. I understand that the F1 visa is only valid for five years, but there are other ways to apply for permanent residence.
